Not sure it’s working for me

I have been using the mask for approx 3 weeks. I am 56 and my skin has become very oily over this last 2-3 years. The clay was easy to apply and my skin felt drier & tighter when I washed it off. I also used the new moisturiser for oily skin but unfortunately I didn’t get the result I was hoping for. My skin still has a layer of oil on it when I wake up. My skin still gets oily through my make up within an hour of application. If anything my skin has broken out in a lot more spots than before. If La Roche would like to use me to trial out anything new that may turn this oil tap off I would be very intrested ☹️

A good mask

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried a few clay masks and this one is just as effective as the others. Is it effective? Well, I used after a few blemishes appeared on my cheeks when I was really down. I used this mask to try and get my skin sorted and it did help. It is not an immediate result but skin feels recovered afterwards. My step-daughter who suffers from acne loved this. It didn't clear her acne but her face felt clean which is good as she often gets down about her skin. The mask is only supposed to be left on for 5-mins but she left it on for 15 and had no adverse effects. This product will not change your life but it is effective and does the job. I'd buy this mask for step-daughter but maybe not for me.

I was looking for a mask like this and could only find it from other brands mixed with essential oils or food based ingredients which cause irritation. Since I found this I am
Beyond happy. First it comes in a tube which I love to get the right amount out as well as not having to put my finger in a jar. It feels so nice and refreshing on the skin. The improvement came For me after two weeks. Especially after a travel intense period or flight I love to put this on. Also I live in a city and this really helps my skin stay clear. This has so many benefits I just love it m.

Depuis plus deux ans, j'ai abandonné mon masque à l'argile et je ne jure plus que pour celui-ci.
Lorsque ma peau est grasse ou à tendance acnéique, j'effectue un nettoyage de ma peau avec un gel moussant nettoyant, puis avec un extracteur de points noirs désinfecté. Une fois cette opération réalisée, j'applique ce masque.
Il me donne vraiment la sensation d'une peau nettoyée. La peau est plus saine. J'ai noté que l'acné revient moins régulièrement après ce traitement. Et ma peau est prête à recevoir tous les bienfaits de la crème hydratante.
C'est mon indispensable régulateur de sébum.
J'applique ce masque sur le visage, le cou, le décolleté et les mains (le dessus uniquement, pas sur la paume), avant de les réhydrater.

Great Gentle Clay Mask

I brought this a while ago and have only just used it for the first time a few days ago. Why on earth I haven't used it prior to this is beyond me! A little product goes a long way, leave it on for 5 minutes and wipe away with a damp warm cloth and my oh my will you see results instantly. End results were my pores didn't look as enlarged, my skin was by no means left dry, dehydrated or thirsty and actually felt soft to the touch. I've added a photo with the mask on (applied with a mask brush).
Great for those who have oily or blemish prone skin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was initially unsure about the product worrying that it might dry my 40+ year old skin but I used it on the T-zone and was very pleasantly surprised that it did not dry my skin at all!. skin looked fresh, slightly mattified which helped diminish the look of pores around nasal folds and forehead. Mask thoroughly enjoyed by my teenage daughter (and SON!) who likewise experienced cleaner smoother skin after a couple of applications!
Most important: cleanses but does not dry. Best removed with a face/muslin cloth

A lovely mask that cleanses without causing dryness

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have combination skin with a VERY oily t-zone. I suffer from some congestion in that area and sebaceous filaments on my nose. I've multi-masked this on my t-zone with another mask on my cheeks and it's a dream combination. This mask helps to purify the t-zone and reduce oil production without over-drying it out, like some other masks that I've tried do. It doesn't aggravate my sebaceous filaments either, like peel off masks can. It leaves my skin feeling super-clean and smooth, but not at all dry or tight.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is lovely stuff - I only really like masks that set because it feels as though they're getting right into the skin. My skin is combination with not too much dry, this is really suited for oily and blemish-prone skin. It left my oily patches matt and very clean - a shade lighter almost because it draws out so much from below the surface. I followed it with a serum and that was a perfect mix. Very happy with this product and will keep using it weekly, especially when I feel a blemish brewing...

Lovely thick texture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this mask several times now and each time, I have noticed a visible difference in my skin the next day - clearer, tighter pores and a smoother glow.
It has a lovely thick, creamy texture and feels cool on application. This mask has the signature effaclar scent which I love. It can make the skin feel slightly uncomfortably tight when it has dried but that is fine as soon as it's removed. I tend to follow up this mask with a moisturizing mask (I use the la roche posay one). Love it!

I have been using this serum for nearly for 3 weeks and so far I really like it. To be honest, I was a little bit suspicious about applying a product on my face with a jelly texture (because I normally prefer creamy textures!). However, I am very pleased with the results, as it absorbs quickly and leaves a non sticky sensation! In fact it is refreshing.
Regarding the packaging, it is practical, convenient and clean. It comes in a small transparent botle, and the serum is orange! The slight downside for me is the pipete applicator, as it can be a bit messy sometimes. For example, it is difficult to get the precise amount you need. (I use about 4 to 5 drops). However, for me, this is another great product from la Roche.
Tip. Remember your ears and neck.

Very good for oily areas

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although I have quite dry skin I do have a problem with large pores on my nose and they often become clogged. I started using this mask weekly, just on my nose and have noticed a marked difference in the appearance of this area. It seems to have changed the texture of the skin, which was quite bumpy due to the pores becoming clogged. I would imagine that if you have a lot of blackheads that this would be an amazing product to help clear them. Lovely texture to the mask and smells pleasant.

I absolutely love using La roche posay products. They really have made a difference to my skin. This clay is no let down. So I’ve been getting a lot more spots especially around my chin area. (I thought those days were gone during teenage years!) it’s though being a woman, and all our hormone changes. Anyway, this clay mask really has helped me with this issue. Skin is much smoother and hardly ever get blemishes now and if I do I use the clay mask and it calms the redness down.

It feels super gentle and didn't irritate my skin at the time. After using this, I saw lots of white stuff half way out of my pores but I can't effectively clean them all as they are only half way out. I managed to clean the pores under my chin and on my nose via floss. These two area look clearer and pores are smaller the next day. HOWEVER, my skin is oilier and shiner the next day. I'm not entirely sure whether this is related. I have super oily and sensitive skin.

Love a good mask!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these products so wanted to try the clay mask, being as it’s currently quite on trend, to my surprise, I found I really enjoyed the experience. It was easy to apply, felt very comfortable, even whilst drying. It forced me to relax and soak in the bath for a good few minutes (which is a rare experience), and came away easily. My face felt beautifully soft and clean afterwards, a perfect way to relax, pamper and cleanse in one go!

It is very easy to apply and has a pleasant, subtle fragrance. I am amazed by the results! My shiny red nose has calmed down! My skin looks smoother and hydrated. I followed up with my usual Toleraine Ultra moisturiser and my complexion looks more even. I am delighted with this mask and will definitely use it regularly.

I got no discomfort or redness on my sensitive skin (in fact, it felt really soothing), the thin layer I put on dries, but doesn't pull into a tight crispy layer, and when I wash it off my skin feels really soft. Immediately after there's no oil and I've noticed my skin seems clearer overall after just a few uses.

You need to wait just for 5 minutes so quick and practical. I used on my t-zone which I have clogged pores and black/white heads which helps my skin looks my smooth and soft, I can see my pores look clearer, I believe I will see better result in long term.

I use this product once a week, I have really oily and blemish prone skin and have found this mask helps a lot. The mask leaves my skin feeling so clean and nourished and I have noticed a difference in the amount of spots I get since using this. I usually leave the make on for around 20 minutes, really easy to apply and remove and leaves no greasy residue

Saved my skin

I have been using all LRP as my skin care routine for two months now, it has saved my skin. I had mild cystic acne and blackheads and pigmentation 2 month ago and now my skin is nearly clear. I used all effaclar and toleraine range and will continue using. The effalclar and Vit c serum have been a dream using Vit c in the morning and effaclar on a night.

My skin has definitely looked clearer since using this and I haven't had any more spots so far. It doesn't dry my skin and is very easy to wash off not like some masks that cling on. A pleasant, gentle product I can use regularly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The generous sized tube struck me as unusual for a clay mask, so great value for money there! the texture is light, some clay masks i find to be thick and drying but this is unlike any i've used. doesnt dry down too hard, just enough for a deep cleanse without leaving your skin feeling stripped. i would say its suitable for sensitive / reactive skin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not prone to oily skin or blemishes but sometimes have sensitive skin after cycling in the City pollution etc. The mask is a smooth texture, easy to apply, has a light fresh fragrance, easy to wash off after 5 mins and didnt leave my skin dry and tight. After drying with a towel my skin felt soft and smooth. I will definitely use weekly.

After using the mask my skin always responds well, and is never tight or uncomfortable. I avoid product with oil as I have combination skin and this seems to work well for me and I could easily use this clay mask weekly to help keep on top of oily T-zone.

It has a nice texture and a lovely fresh almost like a meadow smell,which is great considering it's a clay mask. Takes away that muddy smell and makes it that bit better. The results are pretty much immediately visible and the skin is left fresh, clean, soft and hydrated.

Je ne regrette pas, le masque est rafraichissant et permet d'assécher mes boutons lorsqu'il est nécessaire. Effectivement elle me sauve la vie quand j'ai des grandes éruptions cutanées et le visage gras. Cependant je ne pense pas qu'il est envisageable de l'utiliser beaucoup de fois car elle assèche légèrement la peau après utilisation.

I had a few tiny whiteheads on my nose the first couple of times (I assume this was the mask unclogging my pores and doing it's job!) but no problems since. I have used the mask 4 or 5 times and it may be there is also a slight reduction in oiliness in my T zone.

Je l'ai acheté dans la routine de soins de la même gamme et je dois reconnaître ses atouts. Il est très agréable à appliquer et très doux à porter. Il ne tire absolument pas et ne dessèche pas la peau. Il se retire facilement à l'eau sans besoin d'agresser le visage. Il rend le visage doux et éclairci. Essayer c'est l'adopter !

This product is so nice to use - it goes on easily. doesn't set like concrete(!) and washes off easily. My skin felt refreshed and clean - and less oily in the following days. A new favourite!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mask really helped my skin after a week of being on holiday and using lots of sunscreen. It helped me feel that I had been able to remove all traces of SPF and start with a clean slate. For drier skins it's probably too drying to use more than once a week but I think it would be really beneficial for oilier textures

A recommendation I’m pleased I took

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A friend recommended this product and I’m really glad I tried it. When I have a flare up of spots (late 30’s hormonal post kids) I use this. It helps calm what’s there without any residual redness which I’ve often had with other clay based products. Along with Effaclar Duo this is a staple in my bathroom cabinet.

J'ai acheter ce produit pour ma peau qui était grasse avec des point noir depuis que j'ai acheter ce produit mon visage na plus de point noir et nais plus grasse .
Mon visage revis et plus net plus d'inperfection je suis tros content avec tous les autre produit je n'avais jamais ce résulte .

My skin felt so soft afterwards as usually after face masks my skin will feel patched and dry. Not this one! I will definitely continue to use this and be repurchasing as honestly this is an amazing mask!

Not had long but already love it!

I have always struggle with my pores and spots but I feel like this is already helping both issues. The mask is really light and not as thick and tightening as other masks I have tried. Masque a faire 1 a 2 fois par semaine, moi je juge qu'1 fois c'est largement suffisant car il gomme tres bien la peau de son sebum et sa brillance. (Sinon asséchement)
A laisse poser 5 min et fais donc ressortir tout l acné, ca fait peur mais avec le gel EFFACLAR et la creme juste apres ça s en va.

However, my skin felt smooth and I will certainly recommend it to anyone with skin prone to grease and spots. This did not cause any irritation to my very sensitive skin.

Incredible Mask - will buy this forever!

I use it usually in the evening to deep clean the skin before night cream. Love the texture and the product lasts a long time as only a small amount is needed each time.

Great clay mask

Although I've only used it a few times my skin does feel clean and less oily on my chin.
